Capcom's
very first release on the original Game
Boy came as a really pleasant surprise:
instead of trying to adapt pre-existing titles
onto what is essentially a very weak format,
they chose to create an all-new 'spin-off' title
based on their successful Makaimura
series, placing Arthur's most lethal adversary,
the Red Arremer, in the driving seat.
Coming to think of it, Arthur doesn't appear
at all. This is the Red Arremer's story, or
'Side Story' (Gaiden), in which he must make
his way through a series of overhead towns followed
by a set of side-on action levels.
It anything it was a real smart decision from
Capcom: the gameplay style is perfectly suited
to the handheld format, and the quest is suitably
intricate to keep the fans of the original series
happy. |

It's also becoming quite a
collectible; and is becoming
quite hard to find in good
condition these days.
